BRIDGES Outreach, Inc

BRIDGES began in 1988 with just one suburban couple. Today, BRIDGES’ outreach includes over 1,500 kind and caring volunteers delivering over 75,000 bagged brown lunches, literally tons of clothing and toiletries and other necessities each year. Since 1988, BRIDGES has not missed a weekly RUN into Manhattan. Recognizing the need closer to home, BRIDGES expanded its operations in 1996 to Newark and in 2002 to Irvington.

Schedule a Summer Run NOW!

Summer outreach help and lunches are needed to NY on Fridays, Newark on Saturdays and Irvington on Sundays.
Groups from neighborhoods, offices and houses of worship are invited to join our outreach visits. Go to "RUN Schedule" to sign up.

Breakfast bags are a great way to help us supplement our food donations are easy for younger children to make too. Right now, we are completely out!

School Supply Drive

Donate to our School Supply Drive this summer. Any type of school supply is appreciated. Last year we gave out over 600 NEW back packs and 1,300 school supply kits.
Donations may be made to Bridges to purchase NEW back packs.
Deliver any Tuesday, 8:30 to 2:30, or Friday, 8:30 to 5. Delivery appreciated by August 22, but accepted through September.

Volunteers needed Saturday, July 26

Volunteers needed for Newark on Saturday, July 26. Sign up in advance under "schedule." Meet at Bridges, 561 Springfield Ave, Summit at 10 a.m., return 2 p.m. NO LUNCHES FOR THIS DAY.
High school students may volunteer with a parent.

Bridges' Brown Bag Bash

May 9, 2009, save the date for Bridges' Brown Bag Bash. This is event will be held in Newark at a very funky art gallery in the University area near the Courthouse.
